DESCRIPTION
Son Muntaner was the second course to be built on this complex of three courses set in the hills just outside Palma city and part of the 5 star Arabella Sherton Golf and Spa resort.
Designed by the German architect Kurt Rossknecht who is well known in his native county for some challenging tracks.
It is the toughest of the 3 courses. Long and played over rolling terrain with some demanding tee shots. The natural run of the land causes more than enough difficulties for the average golfer. Its little surprise that the architect did not need to resort to the use of man made water traps in his effort to stop you getting the ball into the hole.
He did however include extremely large greens in his layout – watch out for those 3 putts !
The high level of planted trees, flowers and shrubs on the course highlight the fact that it was a high budget build, as do some of the surrounding villas. Like many 5 star complexes it comes with a top level green fee price.
