DESCRIPTION
The Course is very close to the coastal towns of Magaluf and Palmanova and a few mile from Portal Nous and Palma, the location of the course is excellent.
One of the original courses developed on the island.
The course itself is not as highly manicured as the new resorts and although the greens are not top standard they are more that acceptable for the course
price range.
The course is not overly difficult and makes a good venue for groups wanting a to party and play a bit of golf.
Depending on the night you've had the course in general is walkable but there are a few hills to climb on the back nine. There appeared to be a shortage of buggies when we were there, so you may have to wait a bit if you are a large group going out early afternoon.
COURSE FACILITIES
Nice relaxed club house and bar with terrace, don't be but off with the chickens running around. Basic but clean changing rooms with show facilities.
Club has a grass diving range, chipping and putting area, though the balls are a bit old - you need to buy the token in the club house.
COURSE REVIEW
Hole 1 par 4
Not a bad starting hole, all down hill, not a far as it looks. Water on the left of the green on the approach in.
Hole 2 Par 5
Easy par 5 with a slight dogleg to the left. Careful of the water on the right with your second shot. Approach into a large green which falls away at the back.
Hole 3 Par 4
Another slight dog leg with a small landing zone to put you in position for a good approach. A Good 3 wood should carry the bunkers that protect the fairway, though be careful not to go to long as the fairway drops away into light rough. Long second shot up hill to a well protected green.
Holes 4 Par 4
Nice driving hole with a wide landing zone. Short second iron shot to a large green.
Entrance to the green protected by bunkers to the left and right.
Hole 5 par 5
Dog leg to right. A good drive is need to get into a position for a good second shot. Green is reachable for a low handicapper with a good fairway wood, but is well protected with pines trees to the right and a bunker to the right.
Hole 6 par 3
Straight forward par 3, though pine trees around the tee area mean a good strike is need to get away.
Hole 7 par 4
Dog leg par 4 to the left with a small landing area protected by 2 bunkers. A mid iron shot into a long green is need for the second shot.
Hole 8 par 4
Down hill drive and quite straight. A good drive is needed to get a good fairway lie for you second shot in which will be a short iron.
Hole 9 Par 3
Long par 3 all carry to the green protected by a front bunker.
Hole 10 Par 4
Dog leg to the right. Drive is to a wide landing zone, make sure you don't over cook it though as bunker with collect any shots that are long. A very good second shot is need to reach the green it two with a long iron or fairway wood to a very well protected green with water all around the right, a long bunker to the left and trouble at the back.
Hole 11 Par 5
Nice driving hole, bit hitters need to watch they don't reach the first pond on the right of the fairway.
Second shot is a lay up to the 150 m post as there is water after this covering most of the left fairway. Easy approach to the green to be on in regulation.
Hole 12 par 3
Another long par 3 with water to the right.
Hole 13 par 4
Not a long par 4 but with a slight dog to the right. Bunkered to the right to catch any drives trying to cut the corner. Relative easy second approach shot.
Hole 14 par 4
Shortest straight forward par 4 up to the club house. Tee shot to fairway is protected by a large bunker to the left. Lay up in front with a 3 wook or long iron and a good medium iron should get you on in regulation into a slightly elevated green
Hole 15 par 3
Difficult par 3, shorter that the previous 3's but well protected with overhanging pines to the left and water to the right
Hole 16 par 4
Very tight drive from tee, rock to left and a bank to the left that falls way to scrub. Approach is not to difficult if you managed to get off the tee well. A medium iron should get you to the well protected green.
Hole 17 par 4
Nice driving hole. Bunkers to the left will catch a miss hit drive, long 2nd shot in uphill to a green well protected with bunkers and not much space at the back.
Hole 18 par 5
Par 5 down hill. Good landing zone from the tee. Green may be reachable for the big hitters in tow but the narrow entrance at a slight skew with water to the left and trees to the right would need a very good shot.
