Bendinat Golf Club

DESCRIPTION

Bendinat Royal Golf Course is magnificently situated 7 kilometres west of Palma, in an extensive wooded valley and in the heart of the Bendinat Housing Estate. In 1995, under the direction of the architect Hawtree, Bendinat Golf Course was enlarged to accommodate 18 holes and a full grid of buggy paths was put in place.

The course is clearly split in two half’s, the first nine wonder around the hotel and housing developments of the coast and second nine climbs up into the hills.
Not a long course but with there are some interesting holes.

The King of Spain is a regular visitor to the course, which is how it gets its Royal title. Bendinat is also the home of the Robert Winsor Charity Golf and the Bendinat London Senior Masters competition. Bendinat is a highly varied course, combining sea views with a beautiful pine valley. Its undulating route makes it an attractive and fun course for golfers of all abilities.

COURSE FACILITIES

Bendinat Club House features excellent services and facilities which include views of the 18th hole and modern interior decoration.A driving range was added later and several improvements carried out

COURSE REVIEW

Hole 1 Par 4
Long iron to a landing zone. Second is uphill to a tiered green protected by 2 bunkers

Hole 2 Par 3 100 meters
Short down hill par 3. Bunkers front left and right with a stream at the front. Should not cause two much of a problem if you can a good tee shot away.

Hole 3 Par 4 330 meters
Dogleg left with a fairway bunker out to the right. The counter can slightly be cut to set up a second shot of a wedge in to a green protected by deep bunkers
Trouble at the back so don't be long on this one.

Hole 4 Par 4
Dogleg right, approach protected by water down the right that cuts into the fairway and again in front of the green. Lots of space at rear.

Hole 5 Par 4 396 meters
Drive over brow of a hill. You need to be straight with a 3 iron or fairway wood to the landing zone. Down hill approach from here into a large green.

Hole 6 Par 4 380 meters
Straight par 4 that need to good hits to reach the green. Approach into the green is protected by deep pot bunkers to the left and a bunker to the right.
